2008 Desert Lights NFL Tournament

Yes, Las Vegas was hot, but that's because Southview was heating up the NFL Tournament!

Okay, that was bad, really bad. It's the worst joke I've made since Honors English 10, 2nd period, 2005.

Anyway, Southview qualified four team members to the National Tournament this year, Jacob Marco and Danielle Goatley in Student Congress and Julia Hu and Justin Yang in Lincoln/Douglas Debate. This is the second largest group I've taken to the National Tournament, and I couldn't have been more proud. Thanks to the entire team for their efforts last year. As always, a group effort helped these four exceptional speakers reach the big show. Ayn Rand was wrong.

As we look to the upcoming season, let's figure out how we can do it again. Birmingham, here we come. I love ribs!

Please attend one of the upcoming team meetings for the new season. Veteran members will meet on Monday, September 15 from 2:30pm-3:30pm in room 131. New members will meet on Tuesday, September 16 from from 2:30pm-3:30pm in room 131.
